About us

Bob Coleman is the Sole Director of Mortgage Knowledgebase Pty Ltd, a company he started in December 2005 when he left full time employment.

His business qualifications include:

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration
  • Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management
  • Corporate Member of Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (”MFAA”)
  • MFAA Accredited Mortgage Consultant (Cert IV in Financial Services)
  • Corporate Member of  Property Investment Professionals of Australia

He has twice been awarded Rotary International’s highest distinction, the Paul Harris Fellow and is a Justice of the Peace.

Prior to establishing Mortgage Knowledgebase Bob was the Investment Risk Controller Mortgages for ING Australia and the Chairman of the ING Funds Management Credit Committee. Bob’s management of ING Australia’s $2.2 billion commercial mortgage fund was favourably commented upon by international Ratings Agency Standard & Poor’s in their November 2005 rating upgrade of the fund.

Bob has an extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, especially as it relates to property investment. His general banking, trustee and funds management experience has also given him a comprehensive understanding of the financial needs of both individuals and businesses, as well as the fundamentals of sound investment and risk management.

Bob’s focus as a mortgage broker is to provide the finance solution with the lowest overall cost, and the most suitable terms and conditions based on the stated and assessed needs of the customer.  And it doesn’t end there. Bob works with his customers throughout the term of their loan to ensure they remain happy with the arrangements he has put in place, sometimes saving his customers thousand of dollars and reducing their loan term by years.
